Leaf on Serenity Lane Canvas

Hello and Happy Sunday to all my sweet creative friends.

There was an old canvas hiding in my stash that I started but never finished and honestly - didn't like it at all.  So I redid it.

For some reason, I put modeling paste all over it.  I remember that I had just received my "noodle" brush in the mail and I was playing with it!!!  I made long narrow lines of paste all over the canvas - how crazy is that???!!!!

Here is the unfinished canvas.

And so I began painting. Here it was after the first go around!!
I used DecoArt paints.

The completed painting - Leaf on Serenity Lane.

Hopefully you can see a bit of the texture on this one - just like on the first unfinished one!!

Thanks bunches for stopping by to say hello and thanks bunches for your comments. My "reply" button doesn't work on the comments. Someday I hope blogger will help fix it!

Have a SUPER FINE week.
Hugs. j.

Ohhhh Joi! I know how it is to experiment when new supplies come in, sometimes you just can't help it. Lol! I love the vibrant Fall colors you have achieved with the DecoArt paints. This piece makes me feel like strolling down the lane with a scarf on. Wowzers and gorgeous! Wonderful transformation!

Thanks so much for joining in our Mixed Media Makeover challenge at Anything But Cute! Hugz! ~Niki

Your canvas is beautiful, love the texture from your noodle brush. I haven't got one of those brushes, but I have some old noodles I could try with! Love the autumn colours, I would love to walk through your painting! Have a great day, hugs, Valerie

Oh, Joi! I was hoping you would join our challenge at Anything But Cute, and was wondering what sort of loveliness you would conjure up. This autumn canvas has got to be my favorite of yours, with those brilliant colors and the texture! I truly think the texture is perfect for it! My oh, my, you know how to capture the feeling of a fall day through the light, the colors, and wow, I can even smell the air! You've knocked my socks off, again, with this lovely makeover! GORGEOUS! This is art!

This is such a fabulous finish to your canvas. The colours are so fall and the scene is every country lane flanked by trees that I drive by here. You are a seriously talented painter. Thanks for joining us at Anything But Cute.
Hugs!

Joi, that's a wonderful outcome for your 'noodling' lined canvas. I love seeing the progress photos and the rich texture of the finished piece. Well done! xo
