Hello and Happy Monday Sweet Creative Friends!!!

Just wanted to share with you my cow painting!!!

It was a commission piece and now hangs in a lovely elite home in the Houston, Texas area. They wanted it colorful and funky!

One of the largest paintings I ever did by myself...
it was 3 ft x 4 ft acrylic on canvas.
I miss it being here... so made me smile!

Hubby had it in his studio showing it off one day.
Maybe you can tell the size better here.
His studio is fancier than mine!

Some close-ups!!

Let me know what you think!!
Hugs to all.

Fantastic cow! I like her better than the 'real live' ones too! She's quite psychedelic and pretty with all the colors streaking her face. I'm liking the 'texture' of her curly hairdo as well. Amazing that you have commissions for your work.. that must make you feel so good. I can see why this happens though! Your work is most unusual & I like what I've seen so far!! I couldn't begin to draw a cow that looked like a cow, so this one floats my boat fer shore! TFS

Wow Joi, this is incredible. I have seen pictures in Art Galleries of painted cows and have just walked past them......but yours oh my goodness you have captured the sweetest of expression that I almost feel this darling cow is talking to me. The texture also on the head.....fantastic, I am so in awe here of my super talented blog friend.

Joi, How astonishing the beauty and almost a serenity you captured in this painting. The colours you injected bring such life to the cow yet at the same time the colours do not detract from the realism of this painting.
You have the most amazing talent, it really is incredible!

Seriously cute cow, Joi! Much prettier than the ones I grew up with on the dairy farm. I'm so happy you used such unexpected colors and textures, because I'm telling you those eyes look like the eyes of Triple Z, who battered me as a young child. I still adore cows, but I have so much more respect for them and will NEVER walk beside one again!

I know your clients are loving this, and probably gaze lovingly at it every day! I'm so jealous of them! Your work is sublime, and it is always a Joy to got to have met you, Joi! Someday, I'd love to meet you in person.
