Embossing Sin City Stamps, Walnut Hollow Wood, DecoArt Media

Using a fabulous ornate Walnut Hollow Chippendale 8x10 piece of wood - the project began.

DecoArt Media Crackle Paste was spread from top to bottom.  The Sin City Stamps in the photo were pushed into the crackle paste to form the flower pattern. With a pointed stick I drew in the fence and some earthy lines.

After dry - spray with DecoArt Media Yellow Shimmer Mister.

Have fun embossing!!
Products:

The sky and the flowers were embossed.

With the shimmering embossed flowers in the background, out came the flower stamp again.  This time it was coated with DecoArt Media Gesso and stamped right on top the other flowers.

Time to paint the first layer!!

Love the natural background texture that you get when painting on wood. Here are some close-ups!

It's hard to see the shimmer of the embossing powders but it looks so pretty in person!

More crackle and embossing shimmer in the sky!

Here are the products used.  The Yellow DecoArt Media Shimmer Mister isn't pictured.

You know I'm all over the texture on this one - drooly!!! I'm jazzed by the sketchiness of the floral look as well - you've just nailed this piece! xo

I am so impressed with your amazing mixed media art Joi. What a beauty that is to create embossed flower garden out of one stamp. Love the crackle and the drawn fence. I scrolled up and down many times as I admire the flowers but I think just maybe my eyes are missing from spotting any stenciling work in your fabulous project to be eligible to win. My sincere apology if I didn't spot it. Once again thank you Joi for your continuous participation and support at STAMPlorations May Mixed Media Challenge ...See you again soon Joi :)

Wow Joi, this is just extraordinary!! I just adore the fancy shaped base, how wonderfully unique and beautiful!! Your flowery scene has captured my heart! I just love how they are set in the middle of a wonderful grassy field, with the old wood fence in the background, and a vast expanse of countryside beyond that! Seems like a place I would love to visit! The crackle effect is amazing, wonderful textures and such amazing techniques!! Well done Joi, this is a masterpiece for sure!! hugs :)
