Abstract Woodland Garden Acrylic Painting 30x40

What a joy to just PAINT!

I would just love to fly like the wind, throw myself over the old rail fence, run down the path and lay under the farthest trees to day dream!!

There is no perfection found in this painting. It's just a wild and free conglomeration of strokes and colors.

After painting for a while... it seemed like I should snap a few photos for you!  Layering DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylic paint colors was so delightful. I find these so much easier to work with than thick paints. Plus, they blend so easily in what seems like thousands of hues.

Guess what? I decided to add an old rail fence. I bet that doesn't surprise you much!!!

And for me, any 'old' fence has to have some crackle.

Now... 'decorate' the fence line with grassy blooms!

Making lines with my liner brush is one of my favorite things to do when painting.

Lots of DecoArt and DecoArt Media Products and Fluid Acrylic colors used on this 30x40" canvas.

And a few close-ups of the finished piece.

Here is a picture so you can see how it was framed and where it is hanging today.

Once again - thank you so much for taking time to share art with me. I so appreciate each of you and your comments mean so much to me too.

I have been a bit slow on my comments for you because the grandkids have been here. I see them so rarely that I have to get lots of kisses and play time!! Xj.

Craft Stamper Magazine, DecoArt, Stamps & Me!

Wow...such a treat to see a bit of my creativity in the June 2017, Issue 205 of Craft Stamper Magazine

Inchies!
I didn't think I could do them well at all, but you know what... it was really a fun time for me. I created a bit of a story about a plain and simple gal who changed her life by believing she could! My inchies ended up as a bit of a story board!!!

Once upon a time....

She was a quiet, plain, simple gal.
One day...
she finally knew in her heart that she was worthy.
And became content with who she was.
Her metamorphosis encouraged her to follow her dreams...
 AND....
Did you know...
this could be my story when it comes to my artwork?

I would never have had the courage to dream of being in Craft Stamper Magazine!

Here is how I did the little story!

I began with papers that I created with my left over paint. I do not like to waste anything. So when I am painting I always dry up my left over colors with piece of mixed media paper.

I cut these down to their "inchie" format.

After I cut the first squares I decided they needed more color so I pulled out my favorite hues - oranges - and began cutting all over again.

I felt better about the 'look' then.

For all my tiny bits and pieces...
I used the following stamp sets:

Journal Doodles with a Heart
Unity Stamps/Susan Weckesser

Love Ya Whole Bunches
Jullian/Susan Weckesser

Victoria
Kaisercraft ClearStamps

Finnabair ClearStamps
Prima

I stamped multiples of each image in different colors. Some of the designs I fussy cut out just the flowers or the circles. I did this so I could pick and choose which ones to add during in the creative process.
StazOn: Jet Black, Teal Blue
Ranger Archival Ink: Sepia

Here are more of the products used.
The DecoArt products added lots of glitz and shimmer to the little inchies.

DecoArt Media:
Tinting Base
Shimmer Mister - Turquoise
Cobalt Turquoise Hue Fluid Acrylics
Green Gold Fluid Acrylics
Metallic Gold Fluid Acrylics
DecoArt Metallic Lustre:

DecoArt Dazzling Metallics:

Thanks bunches for sharing my story and my excitement about the inchies in Craft Stamper Magazine. Xj.
