IMAGINE - Mixed Media Canvas 20x24

One word.... IMAGINE.....

What an incredibly wonderful word...
something we, as artists, do every day - don't we!!!???

With this flower painting...
it was easy for me to IMAGINE ...

~ being in a beautiful garden...

~ having this "bouquet" in my home....

~ wearing a flower with these vivid colors in my hair....

~ on a tropical retreat, just after an afternoon rain, when the flowers are most brilliant and a great array of fabulously colorful butterflies surround this flower in full splendor.

Or perhaps best of all...

~ being a lady bug crawling in the deep folds of each of these velvety colors... inhaling the sweet fragrance - enjoying the cool protection of the layers of the flower swaying in the breeze... :)

Just IMAGINE!!!

Here is the mixed media assortment I used in this painting.
Neocolor II
Big Brush Pit Pens
Silks Acrylics
Dylusions Paints

This is the way the painting looked after drawing in the rough sketch before refining!

And here are some close-ups of it completed!

I appreciate you all stopping by so much...
as well as for your comments - they keep me inspired.
Hugs. j.
