Hello artistic friends.
I am so excited to participate in the...
SUMMER OF COLOR challenge.
Each week we will be given different colors to use.
It is called Color By Number for instance... this week:
I used Dylusions Paints:
London Blue, Vibrant Turquoise and Fresh Lime.
As well as black and white!
Silks Acrylics were used - in the same tones of blue and
green - to add some shimmer!
The outlines were done with a black Pit Pen.
I got to thinking afterwards that some folks may not consider Turquoise - blue but I always have so hope it works ok!
So fun to see what all the other folks have done with the 3 colors. There are lots of participants. I am looking forward to next week. It's always most fun to just do free play with colors!
Hugs. j

I love your pages so much! The textures look amazing and you used the first week's SOC colors beautifully! I really like the sentiment, too!

This is fantastic, Joi! I love the colours, and that sentiment is really, really nice ... ♥
I bet the Silks have an amazing shimmer in person, often hard to show on photos.

You nailed it with those vibrant colors Joi! I consider Turquoise a blue. Wonderful journal spread and that sentiment touched my heart, so very true! I can see that you had lots of fun with this creation. Awesome sauce! ~Niki

Ahh turquoise can go either way! Love your piece this week!
lots of movement on the page, well done with the rain.
Turquoise can go either way, think its to due with the shade and how people see the colour :) usually blue to me
I love the detail in this :-)
Awesome! LOVE the vibrant use of colours and the fabulous "scene"! :)
Oh MY! This is beyond gorgeous.....& I reckon the turquoise is just fine...works a treat here....& hey! it's RAINING here & we live by the sea, LOL!!!! I saw this but just don't have time to fit it in unfortunately....looks a fabulous idea to do:)
What a fabulous Journal page...colour, texture, pattern, fun...all my favourite things. I want to also sincerely thank you for your beautiful, detailed comments that you have left for me lately; either on the MMP blog, Finnabair blog or on my personal blog, especially for my last project 'On The Edge'. it's always great to get 'artistic' feedback and your comments are so, so appreciated.

What a wonderful piece, Joi - I love your choice of colours and the outcome is terrific. I've still not finished my first week, nor even started the second...you've inspired me to get at it!
This was gorgeous Joi!! And I love you use of stickles?glitter? Well done- your colors are yummy!! xo
Well - you'll already know that I love the blue-green combo - and the shimmer is so cool - what a fabulous page! We've had plenty of that rain, so it's looking pretty green and lush here, but I could do with some sunshine now.
