PURPLE MOUNTAIN MAJESTY

This is a 2 ft by 3 ft canvas.  One photo even has a quarter on top of the sun so you could see the canvas size!

As always... the picture is not nearly as pretty as the painting.. because you just can't see all the glimmer, shimmer and opacity of the colors. But here it is.... Purple Mountain Majesty!

And here was the beginning palette after the first coat of lindy's paints....

Now it's time for confessions.... I did use white gesso for accents here and there. But literally the rest of the painting is completely and totally done with Lindy's Stamp Gang paints.  I used gel medium to thicken some of the magicals, at times. The textures are done with embossing powders, modeling paste, glass beads, tissue, pumice gel and cloth.

The rocks are accented with embossing powder.

Here's the quarter in the sun for your size perspective look!!!!

The top of the mountains and the bottom of the sun have Lindy's Stamp Gang embossing powder accents. In the real light they give a unique slick and shimmering texture.

Thank you Lisa. I just LOVE your project for Lindy's Feb Color Challenge. Soooo neat to use the maps and the cute car - like they are on a road trip. Love the close up of the shoes - it's perfect - makes me smile. Didn't even notice the men's shoes until I saw your creation. For me - this was honestly one of the best ideas I have seen for a design team representation of the mood board. Thanks so much for your work and for the smiles - I printed it so I could look at it during the month! j.

Thank you Marta. I loved your tea bag art journal page. It totally looked like you cut dozens of dots out of tea bags! You are so creative in all that you do. Your kits are beautiful. Your comment on my picture means a lot to me. XO j.
